The Atlanta Regional Commission's Aging and Independence Services (A&IS) Department seeks to improve the lives of older persons and people with disabilities. ARC is responsible for developing long-range plans to accommodate the region’s rapidly growing population of older adults, providing and administering services designed to maximize the independence, health, and well-being of older persons, individuals with disabilities, and their care partners.

Georgia Department of Public Health helps you find free or reduced-cost public health services in your community. Additionally, you can find help with food, transportation, utility assistance, medical care, job training, and more.
Mercy Heart Clinic provides medical, dental, emotional, and spiritual care for individuals 18 yrs or older who are financially at risk and unemployed. Mercy Heart Clinic provides free services to qualifying Rockdale County Residents. Our organization in Conyers, Georgia provides medical treatment for these specific conditions only: Diabetes, Hypertension, Chronic Heart Disease and COPD. Dental care is primarily exams/xrays, cleanings, fillings & extractions.
Partnership For Community Action, Inc. serves DeKalb, Gwinnett, and Rockdale counties, supporting more than 23,000 families annually. Their Family Support Program provides emergency assistance to individuals and families in crisis.
