TWCC Corporate Fasting Guide

Draw Near, Be Renewed, Walk Boldly

Our fast will begin on Ash Wednesday and continue for 21 days, as we intentionally set aside this time to seek God, draw closer to Him, and align our hearts with His will. This journey of prayer and fasting is an opportunity for our entire ministry family to draw closer to God, seek His direction, and align our hearts with His will. Whether you are fasting for the first time or have been doing so for years, this guide will help you walk through the next 21 days with purpose and expectation. Our fast is both personal and corporate we seek God for ourselves and as a unified body of believers. As you participate, remember that fasting is not a competition but a sacrifice of worship that draws us closer to God. Each person’s fast will look different; what matters most is your heart’s posture of surrender.

Before beginning, we encourage you to pause and prepare your heart and body. If you have any medical conditions, please consult your physician. Consider easing into the fast by gradually reducing portions in the days leading up to it, and spend intentional time in prayer, asking God to guide you in choosing the type of fast that is right for you.

We’ll continue updating this page with a full fasting guide as the journey unfolds. In the meantime, to receive the fasting guide along with prayers of encouragement to your phone, text 'FAST' to 404-800-1593.

Types of Fasts

  • Partial Fast: Abstain from food for a set period or avoid specific items (such as sweets or caffeine). A great option if you’re new to fasting.
  • Daniel Fast: Focus on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, and water. Well-suited for those with some fasting experience.
  • Water-Only Fast: Consume water only for a short period and with proper guidance. Recommended for those who are more experienced with fasting.
  • Soul Fast: Step away from distractions like social media, television, or negative influences. Accessible and meaningful for all levels.

The goal of fasting is not deprivation, it’s devotion. It’s about setting aside what feeds the flesh to focus on what nourishes the spirit.
